Disability Access Funding (DAF) - A new grant available for Childcare Providers/Schools

A new grant is now available to support three and four year olds with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities on funded places (now known as EEF – Early Education Funding).

Disability Access Funding (DAF) is now available to three and four year olds who are in receipt of Disability Living Allowance (DLA) and attending an early years provider (including schools and childminders).

This £615 payment will help providers make reasonable adjustments and adaptations to support children’s access to their provision. Please find attached an application form which can be completed for eligible children from this term. SCC will be developing policy & guidance notes providing more clarity on how the fund could be used and clarifying terms and conditions. This will be released by September.
