Community centres are public locations where local people can gather for lots of group activities, social support, public information, and other purposes.
There are lots of community centres throughout Staffordshire that provide a variety of activities and things to do. This may include:
- Physical activities (such as dancing, yoga, football, gentle / chair based exercises etc)
- Social activities (coffee/ tea mornings, lunch clubs, friendship groups, hobbies, bingo, knitting, gardening activities, singing groups etc)
- Support groups (for health conditions, carers support etc)
Some community centres arrange and provide thier own activities, whilst others allow the space to be hired out by other groups and organisations.
You can find a list of Community Centres and their contact details here on Staffordshire Connects.
Please note: Many community centres keep a list of what activities are provided and when they are available on their own websites / social media pages or information boards within the centre.
Please contact your local community centre for details of what is available if you cannot find what is on and they will be able to inform you further.
