*I want to protect myself against sexual transmitted infections (STIs)

Sexually transmitted infections are on the increase across England.

In 2018 the number of sexually transmitted infections rose for the first time in three years in Staffordshire.

The scary ones are back. There was a 26% increase in Gonorrhoea diagnosis in England between 2017 and 2018. There was a 5% increase in Syphilis diagnosis over the same period. In Staffordshire there was a 22% increase in gonorrhoea diagnoses between 2017 and 2018. Chlamydia is also on the rise.

Condoms are the only contraception available which protects women and men from sexual transmitted infections, including:

  • Chlamydia
  • Gonorrhoea
  • Syphilis
  • HIV

Condoms are available to buy from pharmacies, supermarkets, and many convenience stores throughout the county.
