Deaf/Hearing Inclusion Team

Funded by Staffordshire County Council
The Hearing Impairment Team is part of the Specialist Support Service and we support children and young people aged 0-25 with a diagnosed hearing impairment at home, in early years settings, mainstream and special schools. This support can continue into Further Education.

Hearing, visual and deafblind (Sensory Team) - Midlands Partnership Foundation Trust

The team consists of Rehabilitation Officer Visual Impairment (ROVI) posts and Rehabilitation Officer Hearing Impairment (ROHI) posts. They provide advice, support and guidance to individuals who have sensory needs and/or are registered deaf, blind, or deafblind. They work to promote independence by offering social work support, training and assisting service users with accessing appropriate equipment. There is also a small number of Level 3 OCN trained deafblind assessors, qualified to undertake Care Act compliant assessments for people with dual sensory needs.
