Information and support for 20-25 years
These pages have information advice and guidance to help support children, young people and their families from 20-25 years with special educational needs.
Where can I get information or advice about special educational needs processes or independent support?
See the SENDIASS - Staffordshire Family Partnership website to find out more about the support available.
Where can I get information on support groups?
Local support groups are often set up and run by parents and carers of children with special educational needs and disabilities. Some professionals and voluntary organisations may also run groups. These groups can be a great way to meet others and for emotional or practical support.
Search our support for families directory for local support groups, support for carers, siblings, charities and organisations who have registered with us. If you know of a group that is not registered, please let us know by clicking on ‘suggest a service’ at the top of the page.
What is advocacy?
Advocates help you to say what you are feeling and to be involved in discussions and decisions.
You can find organisations offering advocacy support by selecting the advocacy support button below.
How can I have a say in shaping services within Staffordshire?
Are there any training or information events?
Why not look on our calendar to see what is available?
Any organisations or groups that contact us with training or event information will be put here. Have a look through and if there is anything you are interested in please contact the organiser directly.
