We provide a service to children and their families with a wide range of special dietary needs in the community. This includes children struggling to gain weight, allergic to foods, needing to be fed artificially or with a range of conditions such as diabetes.  Our aim is to provide patient-centred holistic care.

How do I refer?

We accept referrals from local GPs and consultants at University Hospitals of North Midlands, for children and young people at the Royal Stoke and County Hospitals. 

Who will I see?

Our team is made up of a dedicated dietetic assistant and 11 paediatric dietitians.

Specialist areas include Neonatology, Gastroenterology, Parenteral Nutrition, Home Enteral Feeding, Children's Intensive Care Unit (CICU), Eating Disorders, Diabetes, Prader Willi, and Cancer and Cystic Fibrosis. UHNM is a regional centre for Cystic Fibrosis.
