Free online information session for parents/carers of and professionals working with young people with an EHCP
This information session aims to inform parents/carers of and professionals working with young people with an Education, Health and Care Plan about the support available from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and other agencies to young people with SEND seeking work. Information will also be provided on benefits and appointeeships. There will be an opportunity to ask questions after the webinar where representatives from DWP and the social care service will be present.
Parents are also advised that they can watch recordings of previous webinars on: how the social care and travel training services can support in preparing young people for adulthood; the health service’s input to preparing for adulthood; and post 16 and post 18/19 options and college SEND support via Staffordshire County Council’s Local Offer website.
