Aiming High - Gartmore Riding School - 1:1 or Semi-Private Riding Sessions
1:1 or semi-private riding sessions aimed at first-time riders but will also suit riders who find group situations too difficult. The focus will be on getting used to being with a pony, getting on and off safely and enjoying a ride. We will provide a leader and side supporters, as required, for each person.
A 30 minute time slot will be arranged with the Gartmore Riding School via a phone call after booking.

Sessions can be 1:1, pairs or small group. This will be agreed with parents/carers prior to the activity.
Parents/carers should bring any medications needed.
Parents/carers must stay for the duration if this is the first time the person has ridden with us or if they are likely to need parent/carer support because of ability/anxiety/ health needs.
Riders should wear jeans or leggings to ride in and clothing that is suitable for the weather conditions. We provide a riding hat and boots free of charge.

- Parents and carers are welcome to attend all the sessions. Please note that siblings may be accommodated at an additional charge of £20.00 per sibling, to be paid in cash on the day. SEND riders will take priority on these sessions.

We will ask parents and carers to complete pre-riding consent form when they are with us.

It is vital that parents fully disclose their child/young person’s SEND needs at the time of booking with the Aiming High booking office, so that we know what kinds of adjustments we need to make to accommodate those riding with us. Full disclosure will not stop your child from riding, so please be upfront with us about their needs.
