Beacon logo

Beacon works with visually impaired (VI) people living in the local area who would benefit from support and training to help them return to work. Our team provides advice and support to people aged over sixteen with multiple barriers to employment.

Beacon delivers a mix of services as part of the Building Better Opportunities programme providing a tailored approach to teaching and learning which is vital to each individual participant's development and employment. This includes job clubs; bespoke training such as employability courses; CV writing; 1-to-1 sessions; group work; interview skills; preparation and confidence building; employer liaison and on-going support.

The team also supports participants to engage in more social and leisure activities leading to increased personal development, increased self-confidence and the development of wider social networks.
