Inspired - Skills & Enterprise Academy

Week days

Inspired - Skills & Enterprise Academy is an Alternative Provision offer for students aged 12 - 16 designed to promote creativity, entrepreneurialism and employability.

We believe that our provision is ideal for students who have disengaged from the more traditional school curriculum and are seeking a more vocational pathway. Our programme has been designed for students who may wish to establish their own businesses upon leaving employment, education or training or those young people who may become sole traders based around a skill such as plumbing, joinery or gardening. From our work in schools over the years we have recognised that the most successful students on enterprise days are often those students that do not perform as well in more traditional lessons. Inspired will offer a platform for students to demonstrate their creativity and entrepreneurialism whilst working alongside local and national businesses to  learn how to set up a business, promote your services and take a product to market.

We are on Staffordshire County Council's list of alternative providers for part time alternative provision.

Inspired - Skills & Enterprise Academy is based at The Inspirational Learning Group Head office at  Stafford Education & Enterprise Park, Weston Road, Stafford.

The site is conveniently located on the A518 Weston Road. The 11S X41 and 841 buses all stop outside with regular services to Stafford, Colwich and Uttoxeter. There is ample parking by the main entrance to the University site which is adjacent to our offices.

The university site has access to ICT facilities and a wealth of classrooms and other teaching / research spaces. There is a coffee shop / café directly opposite our main office where students will choose their lunch and refreshments which will be provided within the cost of the provision.

Our offices have secure touch code entry systems and all of our office staff are DBS checked owing to our company’s principle work in schools. A full risk assessment of the site has been completed. Students will be under constant supervision whilst on site and will not be completing any dangerous or hazardous activities. An individual risk assessment will be carried out for each student attending the provision in conjunction with the student’s school and any potential risks will be addressed.
