A commissioned nurture provision based at Tillington Manor Primary and delivered by Cicely Haughton School.
The aim of the provision is early identification of pupils who present barriers to learning and may be at risk of permanent exclusion.
The group provides a modified curriculum in an environment based on the six principles of nurture.
It is a small supportive group staffed by adults who model good relationships and scaffold relevant experiences.
Pupils attend four times a week for half of the day and remain in their mainstream class for the other half of the day.
Pupils will attend for a minimum of one term and a maximum of four terms.
The group is an intervention for those children who are unable to access learning successfully in their mainstream classrooms. The expectation is for children to return to their own class full time.
The Boxall Profile is used for assessment and planning.
