This information session aims to inform parents/carers of and professionals working with young people with an Education, Health and Care Plan about:

• the support available from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and other agencies to young people with SEND seeking work.
• Information will also be provided on benefits and appointeeships.

Objectives of the Session:

To give an awareness of the support the Jobcentre can provide to young people with SEND seeking work including:

• How to access support from the Jobcentre
• Jobcentre programmes to help young people with SEND into work
• Benefits including how to make a claim
• Appointeeships
