Aiming High - Staffordshire Wildlife Trust - Integrated Wild Yoga (Wolseley)

Staffordshire County Council Aiming High
Staffs Wildlife Logo

Wild Yoga is a great introduction to yoga for young people – no previous experience or practice is necessary! The whole session is done outdoors and is presented in a relaxed and laid back way. We practice yoga poses along a story line or theme, complete a variety mindful nature based activities during our yoga explore, and learn breathing and relaxation techniques during the savasana.

Yoga is all about doing each pose to the best of your ability, and staff explain that this often looks different for each person. Children with limited mobility can still take part in the yoga poses/stretching, but might do so seated instead of standing, etc. There is also mindful/playful activities and breathing exercises that we do during a portion of the session for “Yoga Explore” or free play.
