We are dedicated to helping people with sight loss live a fuller, more independent life.

The Beacon Centre has been supporting people with sight loss for more than 140 years.

We provide a variety of support including:

  • employment support
  • courses and training opportunities inclusing getting online and IT training
  • day opportunities in sedley and stourbridge
  • Respite / short breaks
  • Befriending 

Independent Living

We can support you if you want to get into your community and take part in activities at our day centres.

Activities are tailored to meet the needs of each individual and include health and well-being and arts programmes.

Virtual activities

The Beacon Centre is running more than a dozen free virtual activity sessions every week which are available via Zoom or telephone conferencing.

From book clubs to social chats, quizzes, yoga and the latest tech news, there is something for everyone.
