We are a local grassroots charity based in Stoke on Trent (previously known as Helping Angels Charitable Association).
We support disabled and vulnerable adults of all ages, to regularly access a range of diverse activities and workshops at our inclusive hub, The Indi Club. Our services are available how you like it and when you like it. You can attend our sessions for a full day or a half day. We also provide a weekly lunch club and our 'Together Thursdays' social night.
We are partnered and work with a variety of local businesses, activity providers and workshop leaders to deliver specialised activity programmes that aim to:
- Empower independence
- Champion inclusion
- Promote physical and emotional wellbeing
- Provide a space to express yourself creatively
We provide opportunities to try something new, express yourself, create friendships, and build your life skills. We offer an inclusive space, giving a warm welcome regardless of background, ability or circumstance.

We are partnered and work with a variety of local businesses, activity providers and workshop leaders to deliver specialised activity programmes that aim to:
- Empower independence - our sessions help create a supportive environment where people can thrive. Within our independence projects, we deliver everyday activities such as food hygiene and cooking, gardening workshops, shopping and travel training. We pride ourselves on our services, which strive to enhance the life skills of our members.
- Promote physical and emotional wellbeing - we empower people to optomise their own health and wellbeing. We provide sessions as part of our Healthy Living Project programme, including inclusive sports and exercise sessions, our weekly walk and talk group, visits from health professionals and therapeutic arts and crafts.
- Champion inclusion - We host a weekly lunch club and social night. Some of our regular social group activities include bingo, live music nights, theme nights and discos. As champions of social inclusion, we aim to create a sense of community and belonging for our members.
- Provide a safe space to express yourself creatively - we deliver regular drama workshops, dance sessions and art therapy workshops. These activities aim to get participants moving, build their confidence and allow them to express themselves in their own way.
Inclusive work and volunteer opportunities
We provide inclusive work placements and volunteering opportunities for adults and young people to gain confidence, experience, and life skills, and transition into paid employment. Our offerings are available at The Indi Club and Cafe Indi at The Pavillion. Our volunteer program provides diversity, includion and equal opportunities for all.
Experience our sensory room
Our sensory room offers therapeutic and safe experiences for all ages. It can be adjusted to provide either a calming or stimulating environment based on your preferences. The room caters to various users, including babies, toddlers and individuals with physical, learning, sensory or cognitive needs, and it's open to the entire community.
SEND sessions for children and young people
We provide regular activities for young people with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND) in Staffordshire. This includes school holiday activities, after school clubs, events, and day trips.
Our sessions offer a safe and welcoming environment for young people to connect, build confidence and develop life skills. Parents and carers can find respite as these sessions can be attended independently.
Free school holiday activities for families
