Staffordshire University Legal Advice Clinic (SULAC)

SULAC offers free legal advice to the public. This is a confidential and professional service provided by Law students at Staffordshire University.

SULAC offers advice on most areas of law including family, consumer, personal injury and housing etc.

SULAC does not offer debt counselling and cannot advise on criminal or immigration or welfare benefits. Where SULAC cannot assist we may be able to refer you to another organisation or agency.

Our students are supervised by expert senior lecturers and qualified solicitors. No letter of advice is sent out unless it has been approved by a supervisor.

Clients will be interviewed by two students and their supervisor. The students will then research the area of law and a letter of advice will be sent to the client within 14 days. No advice is given at the first interview.

Venues and times:

The service normally only runs during term time. All interviews take place remotely via Microsoft teams. Please telephone 01782 294458 for an appointment or, alternatively please email sulac@staffs.ac.uk
