Connecting Choices

We provide support for people with multiple barriers in:

  • Stoke-on-Trent
  • Newcastle-under-Lyme borough
  • Staffordshire Moorlands district

We help you to:

  • regain your confidence.
  • become more socially included.
  • move closer to or into the job market, training, education or other positive progression routes

 Who can use the service? 

People who are:

  • Unemployed or economically inactive.
     
  • Aged 19 or older (or young people who are aged 16–29 and who are not in education, employment or training and young people aged 15-18 who are not, or at risk of not being in education, employment or training).
     
  • Legally a resident in the UK and able to take paid employment in EU member states.

Priority groups 

  • People with disabilities or long-term health conditions
     
  • People who are 50+
     
  • People from black and minority ethnic communities
     
  • People with low skills or qualifications
     
  • People who live in areas of high unemployment
     
  • Carers
     
  • Young people who are not in education or employment
     
  • Residents of large social housing schemes 

What happens when I come to the service? 

You will have a personal coach to provide tailored support.

A progression plan will be created for each individual to help them to engage in training, education and complementary services provided by these organisations:
