We have been providing ESOL and EFL classes for adults in the Staffordshire area face-to-face and online for 14 years. We are based in Lichfield at Wade Street Church. Our tutors are qualified, experienced and DBS-approved. They are supported by a team of Learning Support Assistants all of whom have worked in the education sector, usually as former senior teachers. This enables us to provide individual support during lessons. Our venues are Covid-safe; throughout lockdown we provided online learning. Online tuition is available for individuals and pairs of students, including those outside the immediate area.

Face-to-face classes are offered throughout the academic year in term time. In addition, we offer a Summer School based in Lichfield supported by our regular volunteers, with the aim of introducing learners to the locality and facilitating their integration into the community. We also offer a range of visits and activities throughout the year, normally funded by our partners. A favourite is the Garrick Theatre Christmas Pantomime.

We are experienced at teaching learners with all levels of English language competence from beginners with no literacy skills to advanced learners aiming for higher education or the professions. In addition to ESOL, we offer Business English, Academic English, English for Specific Purposes or the professions, Citizenship and Employability Skills.

For those who require qualifications, we prepare students for the Trinity College London Skills for Life, GESE (for SELT) and IELTs exams. We have achieved an average pass rate of 98%.

We are skilled and experienced in teaching refugees and asylum seekers, and other new arrivals in the UK, as well as au pairs and established residents.

Although ours is a private language school, we work closely with a range of organisations and individuals to secure funding for those learners who, for various reasons, are unable to pay for their course. We also provide ESOL classes in local businesses.
