Free Divorce & Separation Advice
Oratto provides free information and advice on all family law matters, including divorce, seperation, financial settlements, child arrangements (sometimes still called custody and access), disputes over child arrangements, cohabitation seperation, domestic violence orders, child abduction, pre-nuptial agreements, seperation agreements.
We have written a very useful Parenting Plan, which helps parents discuss and decide on the parenting arrangements for their children after seperation or divorce. Parenting Plans are particularly useful where children are young and the arrangements may be likely to change over time to reflect their needs. They are more flexible than Child Arrangements Orders (which require mandatory safeguarding checks) and can be changed easily and with minimal expense; and mean that parents do not need to go to Court.
Parenting Plans can be used for a variety of purposes, including:
• Proposing suggested arrangements for the consideration of the other parent
• A mediation process
• Enabling a discussion between parents about child arrangements
• Formalising agreed arrangements for children
• Including a parenting plan with a C100 application for a child arrangements, specific issue or prohibited steps order.
Oratto’s Parenting Plan can also serve as a formal agreement between parents on the arrangements for their children, and how they would like to co-parent and bring their children up after separation or divorce. You can find the parenting Plan form in our Family Law section on our website.
Oratto also a free initial telephone consultation with a family law adviser on our Helpline. We can discuss your options with you, and help you work out what your next steps should be. We can also discuss divorce funding options with you. All calls are confidential, and you don’t have to use your real name.
