The Young at Heart Project Social Groups

Young at Heart offers a range of services to combat social isolation faced by older people in and around Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle Under Lyme.
The project runs friendship groups across North Staffordshire to befriend isolated older people and provide social opportunities.
There are lunch clubs, social clubs and offering a wide range of activities for people to take part in – all of which improve their health and wellbeing. Activities include musicians, exercise classes, crafts, bingo, games, healthy eating sessions and much more. Speakers also visit to offer information on wide-ranging topics such as healthy living, benefits, and staying safe. It also runs a Men's Outreach Project to tackle the unique problems faced by older men.
