New Era - Services for Perpetrators

Anyone displaying unhealthy or abusive behaviour within their relationship, and wants support to change this, can access help from New Era perpetrator services. They are available to everyone. New Era services can also help children under 16 years of age who need support with relationship-based behaviour and one-to-one guidance around healthy relationships.
Perpetrator support is offered by the Probation Service, working across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent.
The support is based on the voluntary participation of the perpetrator. The Probation Service will work with individuals to understand which one-to-one or group work programme will be the most suitable, using a range of evidence-based interventions. Accredited programmes, such as Spectrum and Building Better Relationships, are available and operate from short-term (10 weeks) to more intensive timeframes (up to 30 weeks). A specialist Out of Court Disposal Programme is also available.
