Epilepsy Action is the working name of the British Epilepsy Association.

Advice and support

Our Epilepsy Helpline and on-line support are one-to-one services that people with epilepsy and those who care for them have called a lifeline. Our services were used by 2 million people last year. At the same time, local branches and events support people in their own communities. Epilepsy can be an isolating condition, so this support network for people with epilepsy, carers and families, can make all the difference.

Improving healthcare

Epilepsy Action has placed over 90 Sapphire Nurses - specialists in this complex neurological condition. We fund research to increase our understanding of epilepsy and ultimately improve diagnosis and treatment for people with the condition. We provide healthcare workers and teachers with the information they need in their care of people with epilepsy. And we are the accredited by The Department of Health’s Information Standard, providing useful and accurate information for patients to take home with them.

Epilepsy Action Care Plan and Review Templates

The epilepsy action care plan includes space for healthcare professionals and patients to collate information about their condition.  You can either use the online electronic version or download a care plan.  An annual review checklist and template is also available on our website.
