Chase Aqua Rural Enterprise (CARE)

Aiming High short break services

We offer therapeutic wellbeing courses for adults (19+) with mental health issues and/or learning difficulties.  These provide an opportunity to increase self-confidence, self-esteem, learn new skills, socialise and make friends. The courses include a range of activities including animal care, gardening and floristry, cookery, woodwork, photography, arts and crafts, conservation.  These courses are fully funded through Staffordshire County Council Adult and Community Learning Services.  Please contact Carol Parkes, Director 07772 273033

Individual support for young people/adults aged 18+ with a personal budget, direct payment:  dedicated day opportunity support personalised directly to the needs of each individual.  Activities include animal care, growing projects and gardening, cookery, arts and crafts, woodcraft and general diy, photography, wire sculpture, willow weaving, conservation and fishing.

Alternative education support:  provided for children and young people who need to be supported outside of a more formal educational setting.  Needs might include autism, Asperger’s, learning difficulties, ADHD, social, emotional and behaviour difficulties, those that need support during transition periods and who are dealing with significant changes in their lives.   We can provide a wide range of wellbeing activities, also support with their educational curriculum including functional skills and vocational skills training – CARE is a registered OCN accreditation centre.

Who can use our service?

CARE support is aimed specifically for those with physical disabilities, excluded pupils or emotional and mental health needs. 

Age range/key stages covered:

CARE currently supports children and young people aged 8 – 24 years and adults aged 25 – 80 years.

Areas served:

CARE is happy to receive referrals from across Staffordshire and South Staffs.

Are there any costs?

Some provision is fully funded, other support will require individual funding – please contact Carol Parkes, Director to discuss opportunities available.

What happens when I become an adult?

CARE is happy to support transition arrangements, portfolio of work for future employers, placement of students within further educational provision e.g. college; skills training centres; apprenticeships and volunteering.
