Equal Support Opportunities - Respite & Support Care Services
Making a Difference
Our support services and activities are structured to both develop further learning in a practical way and maximise fulfilling life experiences for young people with special needs. This provides the necessary platform for growing social opportunities, enabling young people to meet other groups outside their community, thus facilitating the development of social skills within an increasing social network. Through our dedicated support network, we deliver a successful service offering that;
- Increases the skills, confidence and capacity of young people with special needs in order to improve the quality of their life and that of their parents/carers.
- Works with vulnerable and hard to reach groups of young people to ensure their voices are heard, builds their emotional resilience and empowers them to participate fully and affects their decision-making processes.
- Raises the awareness of young people to social exclusion and its disadvantages, helping them to understand their own individual identity and needs and, provides opportunities for them to be full members of society.
- Provides bespoke one-to-one support for individuals, who might otherwise be unable to reach their full potential and, helps them develop skills, self-esteem and core competencies, so they can access further education and/or employment.
