Chatterley Whitfield Friends

Chatterley Whitfield is an industrial time capsule and is widely acknowledged to be the most comprehensive surviving example of a deep mine site in England.
Here at Britain's biggest remaining colliery site, which has been designated by Historic England as an Scheduled Ancient Monument.
'The Friends' have recently opened a new Heritage Centre and are responsible for organising the annual Heritage Open Days which is their single biggest activity. 'The Friends' are also involved in lots of other activities, which include archiving, site tours and community presentations.
The Chatterley Whitfield Friends is a voluntary group of enthusiasts that meet on a weekly basis. We can be contacted via email if you would like to join or have a general enquiry
