What we do

Accredited courses:

Our courses are very diverse, we either do one to one or small groups, which are a maximum of eight people. We specialise in a number of subject areas, where we offer nationally recognised qualifications in the following: Functional skills. Animal Care, Horticulture, Equine Care, Sports Coaching, Health & Fitness, Personal Training, Business & Marketing, Hospitality and catering and Business start ups. Employability Skills (We have a bespoke programme, where young people choose the units they feel they need to help improve such as building confidence, teamwork, communication. There are 30 units to choose from, there is also the opportunity to gain a qualification).

The company does mainly part time courses, which are geared around your needs as much as possible.

We are able to offer a tutoring and mentoring programme, which again is either one to one or in small groups. Should the young person wish to gain a qualification in mentoring then we are also able to facilitate that.

We are on Staffordshire County Council's list of approved alternative provision providers.

Complementary provision: 5 years upwards

The well-being courses we run cover a period of 4 – 12 weeks and are designed to help you improve confidence, meet people, try new things, improve your health and well-being overall. You might want to progress onto one of our qualifications or we can sign post you to another appropriate organisation.

Who can use your service?

We try to make our services accessible to everyone. Those with medical needs, excluded pupils, emotional and mental health needs. Those who are not in education for whatever reason. Providing we are able to fund the programme somehow, you are able to do the course.

Age range/key stages covered:

To enrol on one of our qualifications the young people have to be 14 years old, this is totally dependent on which ones you wish to do. Most of them range from 16 plus.

We do offer well-being programmes, where young people of all ages can come and experience a variety of programmes which range from improving confidence working with small animals, health, fitness and recreation. Arts and crafts, photography, horticulture.

The age groups range from 5 upwards.

Areas served

Depending on the qualifications the young person would like to cover, we are able to set up anywhere within Staffordshire.  All we need to do is hire a facility.

We do have our own facilities in Gnosall, Coven and Bushbury near Wolverhampton.

Are there any costs?

Costs are dependent on the course that the young people would like to do and if they are able to work in a small group. We are able to offer one to one support for some of the accredited programmes.

How do I refer?

We take referrals from schools, charities, those young people with Education Health and Care Plans, etc. It is best to discuss your situation by contacting us first.

What happens when I become an adult?

On completion of any of our programmes you will have a reference written by your programme manager/tutor, which will help you to further your education, gain work experience or get employment. You will also have a certificate from the awarding body on completion of an accredited programme. Any portfolio that you have developed will also go with you, which you can show future employers.

If you complete one of our wellbeing courses you will also have a portfolio of evidence, so you are able to show people what you did on the course.
