Children’s Centres

Staffordshire has 11 Children’s Centres where families can access a range of services, participate in activities with their young children and get information about what is going on locally. Children’s Centres work together with lots of other people that offer support to families.

  • Health Appointments (midwifery and 0-19 Health and Wellbeing Service)
  • Family Support
  • Adult Learning
  • Early Learning Sessions
  • Information, Advice and Guidance
  • Activities for Children with SEND

The purpose of a Children’s Centre is to ensure young children get the best start in life and that their families are supported to help them achieve this.

Your local Children’s Centre will depend on the district that you live in. If you access a Children’s Centre service outside of your county additional charges may apply.

All of the Children’s Centre’s are open Monday to Thursday between the hours of 8.30am and 5.00pm and Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm, (except Bank Holidays). However some activities may take place at weekends, just search for your nearest centre below to see our latest activity timetables.

Staffordshire Family Hubs

The Early Years Coordination Service supports the delivery of the Family Hubs in Staffordshire.  Your local Family Hub is a virtual space where you can find advice and support and connect with others in your area.

We know that family life is a little bit harder at the moment, that's why we’ve created 8 hubs of help for families across Staffordshire who can answer your questions, help you find support and share ideas for coping with the changes coronavirus is making to our lives.

We also have produced a wealth of in-house support and resources which have been created by the Early Years Coordination team which you can access though Family Hubs Staffordshire.
