We are the commissioned provider of autism services for the 4 CCG's of South Staffordshire. We provide a full range of assessments, interventions and follow-up support services to children and their families across the South Staffordshire area. We also provide training programmes to children, parents and to professionals who support them.

Services are offered in the community in a range of locations within easy access of the families we see. In all areas, we offer a full range of assessments, one-to-one interventions, group programmes, family support and parent workshops.

Costs

Details: As the commissioned provider for autism services, there are no costs implications for families who are registered with a GP in South Staffordshire who wish to access our service. Families in receipt of an autism diagnosis have open access to interventions, group programmes and support or advice at no cost to families.

Referral Details

All other investigations should have already been undertaken and alternative explanations for the child's difficulties should have been explored before a child is referred to us. The autism service is a specialist, tertiary resource.

Full details of referral criteria can be found on our website. Referrals for an assessment of autism can be made to Midlands Psychology by Schools, GP's, CAMHS and Paediatricians. If in doubt please contact our office for further advice.

Once in receipt of an autism diagnosis, families have 'open access' to the wide range of interventions, group programmes and support or advice and, families can contact our office directly without the need to keep referring back through other professionals.

The 4 CCG's of South Staffordshire are made up of Stafford & Surrounds, East Staffordshire, South East Staffordshire & Seisdon and Cannock. Midlands Psychology offer autism services to families registered with a GP in any of these 4 CCG's.
