Staffordshire History Festival - Walking Tour

Staffordshire County Council

This new mini walking tour will explore Stafford's oldest unchanged street to give a snapshot of the town's history. We will use old photographs, census records and local stories to build up a picture of Stafford past as we look for what has changed and what has survived along this interesting street.

A looped route will take in key features including Market Street, the William Salt Library and the Borough Hall.

The tour will start and finish at the Gatehouse Theatre box office. Our walk takes around 45 minutes to an hour and is outside so please dress comfortably and plan for all weather! The route is flat but the tour involves standing for most of the time.

The tour will start and finish at the Gatehouse Theatre box office. Full arrival instructions will be sent out the week of our tour.

This event is free but any pay as you feel donations will support the Staffordshire History Centre project and help us to care for and share the county's history and heritage.
